Not since the long hot British summer of 2012 has Oleksandr Usyk boxed in London. The Ukrainian has fond memories of the time and place that produced unto him an Olympic gold medal. Shortly after standing atop that podium in East London, Usyk was in attendance just a few miles away at Upton Park to see Derek Chisora lose out to David Haye for the vacant WBO title. Now, eight years later in a strange twist of fate, Usyk has a shot at making that very belt his own. Chisora is no mug himself and has a particularly devasting KO ability, as demonstrated so brutally against Artur Szpilka.
This fight has been scheduled for Saturday 23rd May 2020.
