We’re on the hunt for a passionate sports fan to join our marketing team on a Content, Social Media & Community placement. While this is a four-week contract, we are planning to make the role a permanent one in 2019.
Your focus will be the keeping our existing users engaged whilst helping to grow our community of sports fans.
You’ll be creating content, supporting on key brand campaigns and helping us improve the performance of our marketing channels. With fans at the centre of everything we do, you will help MatchPint become everyone’s ‘best mate for sport’.
MatchPint is a platform that brings people together to watch sport. Why? Because we believe that watching sport with friends is so much better than streaming it on your own, in bed, with last night’s cold takeaway. We’ve been using technology to bring fans together, on more occasions, and in more places, to experience sport at its best since 2011.
Here at MatchPint, we think the pub is a pretty good place to start: a great atmosphere, ice cold drinks, pub grub, and all the craic. While part of our mission is functional - to help fans find these pubs - the other is emotional - to ensure their experience, once there, is the best it can be.
This is an amazing time to join the MatchPint team with plans to build on +100% year on year growth. This will involve venturing into new countries and building new viewing occasions into our mission to bring people together and enjoy sport at its very best.
The role will have two key focus areas.
1) Content creation and community management
2) Marketing support (production assistance, measuring performance etc.)
We need a candidate who is capable of switching from writing zippy marketing copy and engaging blog posts, to engaging and growing our social media community. Additional editing skills would be useful, as you will be assisting in the production of both image and video content served to our users, throughout the sporting calendar.
The right candidate would also be confident in basic reporting and collating performance figures to enable us to analyse and strategise.
The role will give an all-encompassing overview of key marketing principals and we need a candidate who is hungry to learn on the job and show their skills from the first whistle.
