Best Sports Bars and Pub for Live Boxing on TV

Boxing is quite probably the perfect sporting endeavour to watch in a pub. The build up, the visceral excitement of the fight, the numerous talking points before and after to be delved into at length with a pint and a few clued up friends. Pubs and boxing is a fine combination, which is why we at MatchPint are very much the friend of boxing fans. We help you find the very nearest and best pubs showing boxing on TV so you can enjoy every jab, hook and body blow armed with a drink and plenty of highly salted things to chew on. Below are a number of our favourite boozers to frequent when the boxing is on. Looking specifically for bars showing Anthony Joshua v Eri Molina Find all our boxing listings by clicking here.

The Old Red Lion Theatre Pub - Sports Bar in London More Info

The Old Red Lion, Angel, are putting on a grand showing of Mayweather v Pacquiao this weekend. Tickets are available on the door but we'd strongly recommend buying online in advance if possible. The bar will be open till 6am, warm refreshments will be available and the fight will be shown in HD on The Old Red's humongous drop down projector screen. Few things beat watching live late night boxing in a cracking local - the Old Red Lion ticks both these boxes. Over 18's only, ID will be required on the door.

One of our favourite sporting hangouts whatever the event. Boxing always draws a great crowd here and they're mighty dependable when it comes to late night viewing sessions!

Carlsberg Sports Bar - Sports Bar in London More Info

Frankly, Carlsberg have pretty much lived up to their promise. If Carlsberg did sports bars... then this is exactly what you'd imagine. Dozens of screens where ever you look, amazing finger food platters, more beer than you could shake a stick at and all encased in the same building as a bloody casino. If you're looking for a spot to spend the whole evening in prior to, during and after a boxing bout, then this beauty in Leicester Square is the daddy. Often showing bouts late into the night, this is a cracking venue that caters to every need you may have.

Hoop & Grapes

Hoop & Grapes - Sports Bar in London More Info

Nestled away down by Blackfriars in London is the Hoop and Grapes, a fine place to watch any boxing bout. This one's a bit more of a traditional spot compared to your Carlsberg Sports Bars of this world. They do a wide array of cracking ales and their claim of having the best beer garden in the city is not spurious one - covered, heated and with an outdoor screen. There's no finer place to watch a bone crunching bout outside during those balmy summer months than the Hoop and Grapes. In total they've got seven screens to catch the action on, free WiFi and even a function room for hire. Highly recommended.

If you're lucky enough to have tickets to Haye vs Fury, we'd recommend heading to his jaffer of a pub for drinks before and after the big bout. A cracking selection of drinks and an always lively atmosphere make this a favourite for sports fans in the city centre. They're big boxing fans here and often have fights showing.
