Crows Nest

Percy Street
Newcastle upon Tyne

Crows Nest - Sports Bar in More Info

Right in the centre of Newcastle, The Crow's Nest is a reasonably priced boozer with a hugely varied clientele. The Uni's close by, but being in the centre of town, it's not only students in here. They've got two big screens on which they show the action with plenty of other TVs scattered around the pub here and there ' always a good vantage point to be had. Add to the mixer a pool table, plenty of standing space and close proximity to St James' Park (sorry, the Sports Direct Stadium) and you can quickly see why it's considered one of the best sports pubs in Newcastle.

Corner House Hotel

Heaton Road, Heaton
Newcastle upon Tyne

Corner House Hotel - Sports Bar in More Info

20 minutes walk away in City East, you'll find the Corner House Hotel. It's a big old place with room for 300 or so. With a Car Park at the back, and a metro stop near by, getting there is certainly not a problem. They've got 8 screens in total, most if not all on at the weekends. During the breaks, there's plenty to do - 2 pool tables, a couple of darts boards, and the traditionally reasonably priced booze you find north of Nottingham behind the bar.

Lonsdale Hotel

Lonsdale Terrace, West Jesmond
Newcastle upon Tyne

Lonsdale Hotel - Sports Bar in More Info

A little way north of the town centre you'll find the Londsdale. With 4 big screens it's just as well described as one of the best sports bars in Newcastle. A pub it is though and you can tell from the decent selection of ales, the pool table and the function room upstairs (which you can book out by ringing ahead). It's a sizeable place and, if you fancy somewhere slightly outside the centre, and you want an absurdly reasonably priced menu, it's well worth heading up to Jesmond for this.
