Best Sports Bars in Edinburgh

Without doubt one of the best looking cities in the UK, not that this is any great achievement, Edinburgh also boasts some pretty excellent drinking establishments. Though the city may not be able to claim the same football prowess as Glasglow, which is home to the only two teams that ever win the Scottish prem, it does boast some solid rugby sides and a large crowd of sports enthusiasts. Here at MatchPint, we've given you our pick of the best pubs in Edinburgh to watch the game in. If these don't float your boat, check out our full range of sports bars and pubs in Edinburgh and whats more, we give you details of what fixtures they'll be showing in the coming fortnight.

A welcoming and friendly pub with fairly priced pub food and drink.
Doctors - Sports Bar in

One of the best located pubs in Edinburgh for watching sport, the Doctors is located directly between the university and the festival theatre making it ideal for those students heading into the library for a hard days work (this kind of behaviour should be actively encouraged) and for the thousands than flock to the city in the summer. Within throwing distance of Prince's street and the city centre, you couldn't really ask for much more. But they have more, with an impressive selection of 8 hand pulls as of February 2012 including MatchPint favourite, Deuchars Ale, making this a great place for all you pint enthusiasts. Alongside this they boast 4 plasma screens and a pretty excellent pub garden. All in all this pub is a pretty excellent place to find yourself in the afternoon.

A sizeable modern bar thats chock full of big screens showing live sport all day every day, or at least on a fairly regular basis. A good place to find yourself when it comes to Six Nations time.
