As well as being one of the best sports pubs in Brighton, The Bear Inn is probably one of the best pubs in Brighton full stop by virtue of its locally famous Breakfasts! You don't just order off the menu but you're given a check list of things you're after and they cook it all fresh for you straight away. It's like one of those pick and mix stalls in Woolworths, but with actual food served from 12 till 5 every day! They're within close reach of just about everwhere being a short bus ride from the city centre, the beach and the Falmer Stadium - hop on a 25 or a 49 and you're there pretty sharpish. They've got pool, darts and the best ales around behind the bar. If you're there for the footie on a Sunday, you can grab some dinner and then stick around for the 'always-packed' pub quiz. Always worth a visit if you're anywhere nearby! Interesting fact: The Bear Inn was built in 1795 and is the only pub in Brighton to still have and always be known as The Bear Inn, having never changed its name. So there you go! |

On the other side of town, you've got the Palmeira. Plenty of screens and showing games in HD, they'll always have the game you want on. It's a big gunners pub with staff and local regularly getting behind Arsene's men in red and white though they of course welcome everyone in for a bit of banter. They've got four ale hand pulls with local beer Harvey's always available and the rest rotating around various guest numbers. It's a big place with room for well over 150 but it's often a good idea to ring ahead and book for big games (if only to ensure a good seat!). |

Sport, sun and the sea seems to be a winning combination on the South Coast, and no pub buys more into that mentality than Belushis in Brighton. There is always something going on in Belushi's Below, the underground party scene, and you can catch the live sports action on the screens upstairs. There's also a juicy drinks menu and some tasty looking food. |
